This room only works because of how people treat each other in it. Nothing complicated — just the things we all already know.

Everyone here is a peer.
Twenty years in or two, headliner or bedroom DJ — same room, same footing. Nobody's above anybody. That's the whole point of this thing.

Leave the ego at the door.
Nobody's here to be impressed. Talk to people you don't know. Introduce people to each other. If someone's standing alone, go say hi — that's what makes a night like this work.

Respect goes both ways.
No harassment, no unwanted attention, no comments about anyone's body, gender, background, or where they're from. Read the room. If someone's not interested in a conversation, let it go.

Ask before you shoot.
Photos and videos happen, but check before you post someone. Not everyone wants to be on your grid.

Don't sell at people.
Share what you're building, sure — that's the fun part. But this isn't a pitch room. Nobody came here to be a lead.

Look after each other.
Drink sensibly, get home safe, and if you see someone who isn't okay, tell one of us.

If something's wrong, tell us.
Any of the organisers, any time. We'll deal with it quietly and quickly. Anyone who makes the room unsafe won't be in it again.
That's it. Show up, be decent, meet people.
Reporting
Tell any of the people below. You will be believed, you will be taken seriously, and nothing is shared beyond the people handling it without your agreement.

What happens next
We acknowledge within 48 hours. We speak to you first and follow your lead on pace. Outcomes range from a conversation to removal from the Collective. Serious matters are decided by everyone organising the Collective, together.
Appeals
Any decision can be appealed in writing within 14 days, to [email protected]. The people who made the original decision take no part in the appeal.
